Welcome to the Self Care Kite. The purpose of this kite is to provide you with tools and strategies to help you to look after yourself so that you have more to give to others.

A kite is a Maori word for a basket woven out of flax.

In this kite you will find a tools that you can add to your kite to motivate and empower you to make yourself and your self-care a priority.

For most of my life I have been surrounded by little people, whether it has been during my 19+ years of working as an early childhood teacher and centre director or as a parent of my own 3 children.

As a teacher and a parent, I advocate for the RIE way of being and a massive believer in empowering children to learn through free play. Respectful relationships and heart led leadership are at the soul of who I am. I am a proponent of kindness and a seeker of joy.

My passion has always been fostering the lifelong love for learning in children. I work with teachers to empower them to be heart-led early childhood professionals. I work with centre owners, centre leaders, teachers and teams. I am also a provider of SELO for the Ministry of Education in New Zealand

My mission is to empower you by giving you the tools to help you to co-create magic in your life, your team's lives and the lives of the children and families in your place - because people matter.
